
Giana is an eight year old little girl who was diagnosed with a rare and relatively new disease call Loeys-Dietz Syndrome. Loeys-Dietz Syndrome is a genetic disorder first observed and described in 2005, that affects the connective tissue in the body. Giana suffers from twisted arteries through out her body. She has a dilated aorta with aneurysm, a dilated basilar artery and 2 twisted arteries in her neck. Eventually she will need surgical repair of her aorta, but for now, her wish is travel arrangements for a trip to John Hopkins to find out the latest breakthroughs in medical management for this condition.
